JUNE BADON ELITE SCHOOL OF DANCE & ACROBATICS

 

STAFF:

 

Miss June: I started dance at the age of 2 1/2 and opened my school in 1955. I took the Dance Masters of America, Inc exam in 1959 and was CERTIFIED BY TEST TO TEACH in 1959. I am a member of the SouthTexas Association of Dance Teachers, Chapter #3. I served 2 three-year terms as president and served as vice-president and was on the board for a number of years. The members voted me STADT Member of The Year in 1995. My school was the 1st Texas school of performed in Russis in 1990. I attend Dance workshops, conventions and seminars throughout the year to further my education in the Art of Dance. Dance, to me is and ART to be embellished and nurtured and to be passed on to my students. My methods of teaching is designed to give each student individual attention. This is an absolute necessity if the potential of each student is to be developed to the fullest.
I teach Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatic/Tumbling, Adaigo and Adult classes.

Jennifer Rhone Fecowycz: Started dance at the age of 2 1/2 from Miss June and began demonstrating in classes at the age of 12 and began assistant teaching at the age of 16. She has been attending Dance workshops and convention since the age of 10. She was a member of the June Badon Dance Company for many years. She is now Co-Director of the Dance Company. In January of 1992 she passed her exam for Dance Masters of America, Inc and is CERTIFIED BY TEST TO TEACH. She is a member of the South Texas Association of Dance Teachers, Chapter #3. She has directed the Teen Miss Dance and Miss Dance pageant for several years and served on the board for 3 terms. She was named MEMBER OF THE YEAR in 2003.
Jennifer and her husband George have three children Will, Segal and Amy K. She is a special education teacher for the NISD.
She teaches Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Musical Theatre

Amber Quebedeaux: She started dance at the age of 3 with Miss June and has been taking dance for 20 years. She is a Lamar Senior and is a 5 year member of the Lamar Spirit Dance Team. The was captain of the INDIANETTE Drill Team in 2001-02.
She has taught several summers for the National Dance Alliance. She was a member of the June Badon Dance Company for 9 years. She has been teaching Dance for 4 years.
She teaches Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Turns&Leap, Hip/Hop and is the Coach of the Pom/Pon SASSY Divas .

Kristin Sheppard: Started dance with Miss June at the age of 3 and has been dancing for 17 years. She is a Lamar Sophmore. She was Captain of the Indianette Drill Team in 2003-04 and was the STADT Petite Miss Dance in 1997. She was a member of the June Badon Dance Company for 7 years. She has been teaching for 2 years.
She is presently teaching the Adv. Hip/Hop class.

Ashley Nicholson: She was a Freshman, JV and Varsity Twirler for PNG.from 1999 to 2002. She received a UIL Solo (1) all 4 years, also UIL State in Austin her Sophomore year.  She is the Baton Instructor,

Assistant Coach for SASSY DIVAS and the 3rd year with the school.

  Amber Quebedeaux, change 4 to 5yrs, Graduated Lamar, Teaches at DeQueen Elementary.
 
  Kristin Sheppard, Change 2 to 3 yrs. Graduated Lamar and hair Dresser, Teaches Adv. Hip/Hop, Adv. Lyrical and Beg. Acrobatics.
 
  Alisha Broussard, Freshman at Lamar University, Teaches Cheerleading moves and jumps. Was a PNG JV & Varsity Cheerleader and PNG Head Cheerleader 2007-08
 
Chris Arnett: Tumbling Coach for Acrobatics and GOLD STAR TUMBLING & CHEERLEADING. 3x's Lousiana 1st Place All-Around State Gymnastics Champion.
